Nos últimos três anos, a Sardenberg tem sido uma das principais galerias do cenário artístico de São Paulo. Fundada pelo curador Ricardo Sardenberg, a galeria representa 13 artistas e já apresentou mais de trinta exposições com artistas que trabalham com todos os tipos de mídia, da pintura ao desenho e à performance, da escultura a instalações complexas, vídeo e música.
Fundada sob o nome Projeto Vênus em 14 de março de 2020 no mesmo dia em que a pandemia começou, no centro de São Paulo, a galeria reabriu em maio de 2021 em seu atual endereço, em uma aconchegante rua histórica dos anos 1920 no bairro modernista de Higienópolis. A partir daí, Ricardo Sardenberg fez a curadoria de instituições para ocupar a rua, onde hoje abriga nove espaços de arte divididos entre galerias comerciais, coleções particulares, espaço independente de artistas, revista e residência artística. Entre as mais conhecidas estão a paulistana A Gentil Carioca, a Galleria Continua, a Coleção Moraes Barbosa (coleção particular) e a Ybytu (programa de residência artística). Em 2025 o Projeto Vênus assume o nome
de seu fundador e entra em nova fase.
O objetivo da Sardenberg é fomentar a carreira dos artistas que representa e a cena artística da cidade, através de colaborações e de um programa ativo de exposições, dando visibilidade e ativando o engajamento com a cena artística no Brasil e no exterior. Entre os artistas representados pela galeria estão: Adriana Coppio, Adrianne Gallinari, Camile Sproesser, Daniel Barreto, Darks Miranda, Felipe Barsuglia, Flora Rebollo, Giulia Puntel, Janaina Wagner, Luciana Maas, Rafael Bqueer, Pinky Wainer e Yan Copelli.
Over the past three years, Sardenberg has been one of the main galleries in São Paulo’s art scene. Founded by curator Ricardo Sardenberg, the gallery represents 13 artists and has already hosted more than thirty exhibitions featuring artists who work with all types of media, from painting to drawing and performance, from sculpture to complex installations, video, and music.
Founded on March 14, 2020, the same day the pandemic began, in downtown São Paulo, the gallery reopened in May 2021 at its current location, on a cozy historic street from the 1920s in the modernist neighborhood of Higienópolis. From there, Ricardo Sardenberg curated institutions to occupy the street, which today houses nine art spaces divided among commercial galleries, private collections, independent artist spaces, a magazine, and an artist residency program. Among the best-known are the São Paulo branch of A Gentil Carioca, Galleria Continua, the Moraes Barbosa Collection (a private collection), and Ybytu (an artist residency program).
The goal of Sardenberg is to promote the careers of the artists it represents and the city’s art scene through collaborations and an active exhibition program, providing visibility and fostering engagement with the art scene in Brazil and abroad.
