Luiz Queiroz

Luiz Queiroz (São Paulo, 1984) vive e trabalha em São Paulo. Sua prática investiga as possibilidades da gravura e da pintura a partir do gesto e da força impressa na superfície. Trabalhando em uma mescla de técnicas, seu processo se constrói no encontro entre cores, formas e materialidades, onde o acidente e a fricção tornam-se estruturais. Sua obra emerge como campo de tensão entre controle e instabilidade, entre o fazer e o aparecer da imagem.

Luiz Queiroz (São Paulo, 1984) lives and works in São Paulo. His practice investigates the possibilities of printmaking and painting through gesture and the force impressed onto the surface. Working across a mixture of techniques, his process is built through encounters between colors, forms and materialities, where accident and friction become structural. His work emerges as a field of tension between control and instability, between making and the appearance of the image.
