Algumas Estórias – Adrianne Gallinari
A artista mineira Adrianne Gallinari tem quase 40 anos de carreira. Pouco conhecida em São Paulo, a exposição algumas estórias se propõem apresentar um conjunto de pinturas e uma sala especial com seus desenhos no campo expandido, ou desenhos de parede, pelos quais ela era mais conhecida no final dos anos 1990 e início desse século. Nesse período, Adrianne Gallinari teve individuais no The Drawing Center em Nova York (2000), na tradicional galeria Ruth Benzacar em Buenos Aires (2001), e duas individuais na Galeria Triângulo (2003 e 2007), além de participar no Projeto Pampulha, em 2003, com curadoria de Rodrigo Moura e Adriano Pedrosa. Também participou de inúmeras coletivas ao longo de sua carreira.
Fundamentalmente uma artista que explora a característica do automatismo do desenho, em sua crítica ao gênero, Gallinari desenvolve uma pesquisa das suas possibilidades da ativação do sensível, mais precisamente do olhar. Esta é uma marca muito presente nos artistas que surgiram na segunda metade dos anos 1980. Em seu caso particular, a ocupação dos espaços físicos onde apresenta os desenhos de parede é de certa forma uma exposição de uma ética em relação ao lugar em que estamos no mundo e como isso se relaciona com o aspecto intuitivo e fluido do desenho. Sem um projeto pré-concebido, ou uma definição do que será feito, o trabalho se dá no tempo de observação, meditação ou acumulação das estórias perdidas por detrás das paredes que delimitam o espaço que ocupa. Seus detalhes, suas dobras, e suas perspectivas, após serem absorvidas pela a artista, quase que como um diálogo em reverência a aquilo que está dado diante da sua frágil condição humana, nesse encontro surgem as indicações das possibilidades e plasticidades do desenho, seu volume e ocupação final. A contemporaneidade do seu trabalho, vai ao encontro da determinística atual onde tudo é projeto, tudo parece ter que ser explicado ou exteriorizado a priori, quando invertendo essa seta temporal, o desenho é o campo do fluxo da experiência, na maioria das vezes, mental sem endereço certo de chegada.
Completando a sala especial de desenhos na parede, Adrianne apresenta um conjunto de 15 trabalhos. Assim como a ética do espaço marcam os desenhos instalativos, nas pinturas Adrianne não se afasta do desenho. Mesmo sendo acrílica sobre tela, tudo aparece como marcações no campo do limite da tela. Marcações abstratas ou figurativas interagem em igualdade dialogando entre si como se a pessoa e a mente estivessem em constante embate. A sua experiência, ou a sua vida, ainda que não de forma confessional, mas mediada pela imaginação, são ali expostas como possibilidade de se transformarem em algumas estórias alternativas.
Numa parceria das galerias Projeto Vênus e Gomide&Co a exposição algumas estórias por Adrianne Gallinari ocupará a Lanterna Mágica do dia 24 de setembro à 12 de novembro de 2022.

The artist from Minas Gerais, Brazil, Adrianne Gallinari has a career spanning almost 40 years. Little known in São Paulo, the exhibition algumas estórias proposes to present a set of paintings and a special room with her drawings in the expanded field, or wall drawings, for which she was best known in the late 1990s and early this century. During this period, Adrianne Gallinari had solo shows at The Drawing Center in New York (2000), at the traditional Ruth Benzacar Gallery in Buenos Aires (2001), and two solo shows at Galeria Triângulo (2003 and 2007), in addition to participating in Projeto Pampulha, in 2003, curated by Rodrigo Moura and Adriano Pedrosa. She has also participated in numerous group shows throughout her career.
Fundamentally an artist who explores the characteristic of the automatism of drawing, in her critique of the genre, Gallinari develops a research of its possibilities of activating the sensitive, more precisely the gaze. This is a very present mark in the artists that emerged in the second half of the 1980s. In her particular case, the occupation of the physical spaces where she presents her wall drawings is in a way an exposition of an ethic regarding the place we are in the world and how this relates to the intuitive and fluid aspect of drawing. Without a preconceived project, or a definition of what will be done, the work takes place in the time of observation, meditation, or accumulation of the stories lost behind the walls that delimit the space it occupies. Its details, its folds, and its perspectives, after being absorbed by the artist, almost like a dialogue in reverence to that which is given before her fragile human condition, in this encounter arise the indications of the possibilities and plasticity of the drawing, its volume and final occupation. The contemporaneity of her work goes against the current deterministic where everything is a project, everything seems to have to be explained or exteriorized a priori, when inverting this temporal arrow, drawing is the field of the flow of experience, most of the time, mental without a certain address of arrival.
Completing the special room of drawings on the wall, Adrianne presents a set of 15 works. Just as the ethics of space mark the installation drawings, in the paintings Adrianne does not stray from drawing. Even though they are acrylics on canvas, everything appears as markings in the field of the canvas’ limits. Abstract or figurative markings interact in equal dialogue with each other as if person and mind were in constant clash. Her experience, or her life, even if not in a confessional way, but mediated by imagination, are exposed there as a possibility to be transformed into some alternative stories.
In a partnership between the galleries Projeto Vênus and Gomide&Co, the exhibition algumas estórias by Adrianne Gallinari will take place at Lanterna Mágica from September 24th to November 12th, 2022.
